 Concepting

In this project, I took the role of a lead artist. One of the main responsibilities I had was creating the main character, a female detective based in the 60s. The style we went for is stylized 3D and hand-painted textures. To support my work and keep the work between me and the other artist consistent, I created mood boards and conducted research.

Once the research was done, I moved on to sketching and made a few designs.

 3D Workflow

I started with blocking out the character. Then I moved into polishing the look by combining the objects and sculpting the details on the face, hair, and modeling the clothes.

I also worked on the retopology of the character for both body and hair.

 Texturing

The textures I baked & painted by hand in Substance 3D Painter
